How can I play?

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR launches worldwide on April 7, 2023, and is available to play on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

Minimum system requirements

Get the minimum and recommended PC specs on EA.com.

Game modes

Online modes

Play with up to 16 players in a range of online game modes, and choose from either 9 or 18 hole rounds.

  • Competitive - Jump into ranked matchmaking and tee off against other players to prove you’re the best in the game.
  • Social - Play a few friendly, unranked matches against similarly skilled players.
  • Private - Play exclusively with friends and fully control your round settings.

Offline modes

No connection? No problem. Get in the game with these offline modes:

  • Quickplay - Jump in for a quick round, or play local co-op with up to 4 players.
  • Career mode - Build a legendary career and become the ultimate golf champion.
  • Challenges - Complete a variety of unique and specific challenges to test your skills and earn rewards. Learn more about golf and game mechanics in the ‘PGA Coach Skill Center’. You’ll find this when you scroll down and choose ‘Challenges’ from your main menu.
  • Tournaments - Take part in time-sensitive tournaments and get your name on the global leaderboard. Plus, be rewarded with rank points based on your final position after finishing each tournament, which you can use to purchase cosmetic items, tournament tickets, and more.

Play like the pros with Pure Strike

Pure Strike technology brings ultra-realistic gameplay and new, exciting challenges to every round. With 30 playable courses available at launch, you’ll need to be ready to overcome a range of obstacles under different conditions.

Learn how to leverage fluid swing mechanics and dynamic shot types to hone your strategy.

Tournaments and events

All four major tournaments will playable as limited time events, with new content shared each season:

  • The Masters Tournament
  • The PGA Championship
  • The U.S. Open Championship
  • The Open Champsionship

Compete in Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) events including the Evian Championship. Plus, tee off in all three legs of the FedExCup Playoffs in multiple game modes, including career mode.

Controls and accessibility

Gameplay settings

You can adjust the level of support you get from assistance features, based on your gameplay preferences.

Choose Arcade or Pro settings if you’re looking to play with more gameplay assistance features turned on. For a lifelike experience, limit or remove all assistance features and choose either Tour or Simulation settings.
