Madden NFL 25 has Dual Entitlement, which gives you the older (Gen 4) and newer (Gen 5) versions of the game if you switch between console generations on either PlayStation® or Xbox.

Dual Entitlement means:

  • you get access to both PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 versions of the game when you buy the digital version for PlayStation®.
  • you can play the PlayStation®5 version of Madden NFL 25 at no extra cost if you upgrade from a PlayStation®4 to a PlayStation®5.
  • you get access to both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game when you buy the digital version for Xbox.
  • you can play the Xbox Series X|S version of Madden NFL 25 at no extra cost if you upgrade from an Xbox One to an Xbox Series X|S.

What content won’t carry over with Dual Entitlement?

Some modes and features are only available in the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One versions of Madden NFL 25, while others are exclusive to the PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.

If you upgrade Madden NFL 25 between console generations, content or progression from the following modes or features won’t carry over.

  • Franchise mode
  • Face of the Franchise
  • Madden Ultimate Team (MUT)

If you upgraded your game version using Dual Entitlement, we won’t be able to restore any missing content if it relates to a feature or mode that’s not available on the next-generation console version of Madden NFL 25.

For example, any Packs you earn and open while playing Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) in Madden NFL 25 on PlayStation®4 won’t move over when you launch MUT after upgrading to PlayStation®5 version of the game.

What next-generation features and modes are platform-specific?

Madden NFL 25 features and modes only available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC include, but aren't limited to:

  • FieldSENSE™ BOOM Tech
  • Superstar mode
  • Franchise mode updates or progression
  • Cross-play.

What features and modes are specific to older-generation consoles?

Madden NFL 25 features and modes only available on older generation consoles (PlayStation®4 or Xbox One) include, but aren't limited to:

  • Face of the Franchise.

How to find console generation-specific content

If you upgrade your game version with Dual Entitlement, any content or progress that doesn’t carry over to PlayStation®5 or Xbox Series X|S will still be available in your PlayStation®4 or Xbox One version of Madden NFL 25.

You can find this content by either:

  • launching and playing the PlayStation®4 version of Madden NFL 25 on your PlayStation®4 console
  • launching and playing the Xbox One version of Madden NFL 25 on your Xbox One console.

There are some types of missing content that EA Advisors won’t be able to help with.

  • We can’t track down limited edition cards, missing XP, or reverse mistaken picks on Draft Packs.
  • We can’t recover content that you accidentally discarded. Make sure you double-check before discarding anything.
  • We can’t restore missing Cred if you move from PlayStation® 4 to PlayStation® 5 or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.

If you’ve tried the troubleshooting steps above and still can’t find your missing Madden NFL 25 content after 24 hours, we’ll need the following information to help you.

  • Your EA Account email
  • The type of console or platform you play on (e.g., PC or PlayStation®)
  • Your platform account username
  • Details about the missing content
  • How or where you got the content
  • The approximate date and time you got the content and when you noticed it was missing
  • Proof of purchase if you bought the missing content with real money

Once you’ve gathered those details, contact us in one of the following ways.

  1. Check whether the content you’re missing is something you bought with real money or is something you earned.
  2. Scroll down to the Still need help section and select a contact option.
