What’s Road to Glory?

Road to Glory is a EA SPORTS™ College Football 27 mode that lets you build your player’s legacy from high school to the hall of fame. As you progress through your career, you’ll:
  • create and customize your player
  • build your reputation in high school
  • earn scholarship offers
  • choose a college program
  • develop your player through practice and games
  • manage your weekly responsibilities as a student-athlete
  • aim to improve your Draft Projection and Legacy Score.
In Road to Glory, every decision you make on and off the field can influence your career.

How do I play Road to Glory?

To get started:

Your Road to Glory journey begins with three stages; creating your player, deciding whether to start in or skip high school, and signing with a college.

How does my Weekly Agenda work?

Your Weekly Agenda is an important part of your life as a student-athlete.Each week, your time has to be balanced between:
  • Academics
  • Leadership
  • Health
  • Fitness
  • Brand.
As you face weekly scenarios and dilemmas off the field, (like your coach asking for your time, or a brand reaching out with a potential offer), you need to determine where to focus your energy. Manage your energy wisely to make sure you still have enough to perform in your weekly game, avoid injuries, and maintain your GPA. You need at least a 2.0 GPA in Road to Glory to stay on the field.Your Weekly Agenda will show increases and decreases depending on how you use your energy and where you focus your priorities each week. 

How does Coach Trust work in Road to Glory?

Coach Trust is crucial to your progress in Road to Glory. It directly influences your performance on the field.As your Coach Trust grows, you can unlock additional opportunities and get access to more plays, adjustments and options at the line of scrimmage.Higher Coach Trust lets you unlock:
  • the ability to call audibles during the game
  • additional plays available in your playbook
  • a higher position on the depth chart
  • the opportunity to have a Position Battle for a spot on the field.
You’ll also have to pay attention to your Leadership and Academic Performance for the chance to become Captain or get bonuses.

How does practice build Coach Trust?

While practice is an important part of overall player development, it also plays a role in earning Coach Trust.Each week, you’ll participate in practice drills to showcase specific skills.Your performance during practice can affect:
  • XP earned
  • Coach Trust
  • Coach Happiness.

How do I earn XP and Skill Points in Road to Glory?

You can earn XP through practice, completing goals, and your performance on the field. As you earn XP and level up, you’ll receive Skill Points. You can use your Skill Points to improve your player’s attributes and upgrade their abilities.

What’s my Legacy Score in Road to Glory?

Your Legacy Score reflects the impact you make as a player. Strong performances, major achievements, awards, championships, and other career milestones all contribute to your Legacy Score and help define the legacy you leave behind.Strong performances can also improve your Draft Projection.

How does Draft Projection work?

Your Draft Projection lets you know how your player is currently viewed as an NFL prospect. It estimates where your player could be selected in the NFL Draft based on their performance, development, career achievements, and overall standing.Your estimated Draft Projection can rise or fall based on factors like:
  • on-field performance
  • player development
  • overall rating
  • Legacy Score
  • year in school
  • off-field decisions
  • career wear and tear.
Throughout your career, you’ll be able to track how major moments affect your projection over time.

How does the Transfer Portal work in Road to Glory?

At the end of each season, you’ll meet with your coach to review your year.Your coach evaluates factors like:
  • performance
  • player development
  • role on the team
  • leadership
  • Coach Happiness
  • off-field decisions.
Your school will also review your scholarship bonus for the following season. Depending on your situation, your coach may encourage you to remain with the program, enter the NFL Draft, or explore new opportunities through the Transfer Portal.If you enter the Transfer Portal, you’ll be able to review scholarship offers from other schools and decide where to continue your career.
