What’s Moola in The Sims 4?

Moola is The Sims 4 Marketplace virtual currency. When you buy Moola, you can spend it on select content in the Marketplace.What you can buy with Moola depends on how you’re accessing the Marketplace and the type of content you’re buying.If you play The Sims 4 on PC or Mac, you can use Moola to buy:
  • Maker Packs and select* Kits in The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game 
  • Maker Packs in The Sims 4 Marketplace in the EA app.
If you play The Sims 4 on PlayStation® or XBOX, you can use Moola to buy:
  • Maker Packs and select* Kits in The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game.
Expansion Packs, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs are also available in the Marketplace, but you need to use real-world currency to buy them. *You can use Moola to buy select Kits in The Sims 4 Marketplace in-game. Some Kits must be bought with real-world currency. All Kits are available to buy with real-world currency in the EA app or the Steam Store.

To purchase Moola, you must be above the minimum age guidelines in your country of residence. Players with a child account will need parental spending permission set up on their EA Account to purchase. Learn more about how parental controls impact child accounts.

When buying Moola, make sure you purchase it on the platform where you play The Sims 4. You can’t use Moola across different platforms. For example, if you buy Moola in the EA app, you won’t be able to use it in The Sims 4 Marketplace on PlayStation® or XBOX.Moola doesn’t go on sale, but you can get a 10% discount on Moola if you have an EA Play membership. Heads-up: your EA Play discount only applies when you use real-world currency to buy Moola, not anything you buy with Moola.

Why can’t I find my Moola?

Bought Moola and can’t find it? Here’s what to try first.
  • Check that you’re logged in to the correct EA Account. If you bought Moola using a different EA Account, we can’t transfer it.
  • Double check that you bought Moola for the platform where you play The Sims 4. You can’t use Moola across different platforms. For example, if you bought Moola in the EA app, you won't be able to use it in the Marketplace on PlayStation®.
  • Quit The Sims 4 and restart your PC, Mac, or console. Then, relaunch the game and check if your content is still missing.
  • Log in to your EA Account and check your Order History to make sure your Moola purchase went through successfully.
  • Check out The Sims Direct Communications on X for issues that might be preventing your missing content from appearing.

Why can’t I find content I bought with my Moola?

Can’t find content you bought on The Sims 4 Marketplace?Learn how to check if your Marketplace Packs are installed or install them manually.
Here are some steps to try if you can’t find content you bought using Moola. 
  • Launch The Sims 4 and open the Marketplace in-game. Go to the My Collection tab and select Manage Storage to check if your content is installed.
  • Launch the game, open Build Mode or Create a Sim, and search for your missing content by using the Maker Packs or Kits filter. 
  • If you made a recent Marketplace purchase in-game and are playing The Sims 4 offline, you might need to go online to find your recently purchased items.
  • Restart your PC, Mac, or console. Then, launch The Sims 4, and check if your content is still missing.
  • Sign out of the platform you play The Sims 4 on and sign back in. Then, check if your content appears.
  • Check that you’re logged in to the correct EA Account.
