You can tackle in matches by running your defender near the ball carrier and putting in a tackle input.
How does the Tackle Stick work?

Which tackle should I use?
- Hit Stick: best for when you need an aggressive play that forces fumbles and delivers a huge hit.
- Cut Stick: best against bigger players, as you can take out their legs.
- Lunge Tackle: a riskier tackle you can use to stop runners who are out of normal reach.
- Wrap Tackle: use these when you’re closer to ball carriers to stop them in a less risky way.
- Conservative Tackle: a safer, defensive tackle that reduces your chances of getting faked out.
- Dive Tackle: best for when you need a last effort to stop the ball carrier gaining extra yards.
- Strip Ball: use this to take possession by forcing a fumble and grabbing the ball.
