You need TPM 2.0 enabled to play Battlefield 6 on PC. To check if it’s enabled, press Windows Key + R, type tpm.msc and select OK, then check if TMP 2.0 is enabled under Status and Specification Version. If it’s not, learn how to enable it in this guide and how to get more help.

What’s TPM 2.0?

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 is a security feature available on many modern PCs. It helps protect your system and improves the security of online games by helping prevent cheating and unauthorized software modifications.

Do I need TPM 2.0?

You need TPM 2.0 to play Battlefield 6. Your PC must support TPM 2.0 and you must have it enabled to be able to play.
If your PC can’t support TPM 2.0, you won’t be able to play Battlefield 6. Check your PC or motherboard manufacturer’s website to see if TPM 2.0 is supported or a firmware update is available.

How do I check if TPM 2.0’s enabled?

You need to use Windows 10 or 11 to run TPM 2.0.
  1. 1
    Press Windows Key + R.
  2. 2
    Type tpm.msc and select OK.
  3. 3
Look for the TPM information window.
If TPM 2.0 is enabled, you’ll see:
  • Status: “The TPM is ready for use”
  • Specification Version: “2.0”.
If you don’t see TPM 2.0, it might be disabled or your PC may not support it.

How can I enable TPM 2.0?

TPM settings are typically managed in your PC’s BIOS or UEFI firmware. To find them:
  1. 1
Select the Windows Key and search for Change Advanced Startup Options.
  2. 2
Next to Advanced startup, select Restart now. Your PC will restart into Advanced startup
  3. 3
    Select Advanced Options
  4. 4
    Select UEFI Firmware Settings
  5. 5
This will enter into your BIOS
From here, look for a setting related to:
  • TMP
  • Trusted Platform Module
  • Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT)
  • AMD fTPM.
Enable the setting, save your changes, then restart your PC to enable TPM 2.0. Heads-up: BIOS menus can vary by manufacturer, so you might need to check your PC or motherboard manufacturer’s documentation for exact instructions.
