How do level rewards work in SimCity BuildIt?
As you upgrade your city, you’ll earn XP that helps to increase your City Level. Each time you reach a new City Level, you may unlock rewards, new features, or additional buildings.To level up your city, earn XP by:
upgrading residential buildings
expanding and improving your city services
completing Challenges and city activities
building and upgrading Specialization buildings.
How can I earn SimCity BuildIt rewards?
You can earn rewards in SimCity BuildIt by taking part in Challenges, Events, and other competitive game modes. Different reward systems offer different types of rewards.Some rewards are earned by completing Assignments or Challenges, while others are unlocked by progressing through leagues, Seasons, or reward tracks. Here are some of the activities, Challenges, and Events in SimCity BuildIt where you can earn rewards.
You can earn rewards with the Mayor’s Pass by tapping the Heads Up Display (HUD) icon or by going through the Contest HQ.There are three types of Mayor’s Passes.
Free Pass
Available to all players.
Premium Pass
Unlocks greater rewards.
You can buy this pass with real-world currency at any time during a Season.
After you buy it, you can claim all rewards from previous tiers.
Premium+
Unlocks greater rewards.
You can buy this pass with real-world currency at any time during a Season.
After you buy it, you can claim all rewards from previous tiers.
You’ll also get a temporary storage boost for the duration of the season.

completing City Journal tasks
buying points through special in-game sales
The Weekly Cap resets at the end of each Contest of Mayors cycle, so you can start earning capped points again in the new week.
You can advance in the Mayor's Pass by taking part in the Contest of Mayors.If you’ve earned any rewards, an icon will appear over the Mayor’s Tower. You can claim them after the Contest of Mayors cycle ends each week.Here’s how:

You can claim your Club Challenge rewards every week on Wednesday after the timer resets for the new cycle.Here’s how:

Launch the game. If you’ve won any Club Challenge rewards, you’ll get a pop-up notification.

Select Claim.
Keep completing weekly Club Challenge tasks to earn even more progress and unlock bigger rewards.
You can earn rewards by joining the Event Track. To join the Event Track, tap the Event icon on the left side of your screen during an ongoing Event. Each Event Track has a set number of Event Points you need to earn to unlock rewards. To earn Event Points, complete Contest HQ Assignments during active Events.To learn how many Event Points you’ll earn by completing an Assignment, check the pink Plumbob icon next to the Mayor’s Pass Points icon on the Assignment card. You can also earn bonus Event Points by making in-app purchases.To claim rewards after the Event:

Find the reward you’ve unlocked.

Each reward must be unlocked and claimed individually. Unclaimed prizes are lost after the Event ends.
The SimCity BuildIt Design Challenge is a player-versus-player (PvP) mode where Mayors showcase their design skills in Contests. Earn Blueprints by completing and submitting Challenges, meeting Bonus goals, and getting votes from other players. What rewards can I get?Use Blueprints to collect rewards like Simoleons, keys, and buildings in the Design Challenges Season’s Reward Track. As you climb the Design Leagues, you’ll start each Challenge with more Design Currency, unlock new League-only rewards, and earn more Blueprints.How do I join a Design Challenge?

Go to your Capital City page, then tap on the Plumbob icon.

Go to the Design Challenge menu and choose Challenge.

Select Start!. Complete the Challenge within the time limit and meet any bonus goals.

To get Blueprints, submit your entry.
How do Design Leagues work?To compete in Design Leagues, you need to be at City Level 17. There are four Design Leagues:
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
You’ll start in the Bronze Design League and compete against other players in the same league. To progress, you’ll need to earn Elo points. You’ll earn Elo when other players vote for your design and lose Elo when they choose your other players’ designs. The more votes your designs get, the more Elo you receive, and the higher you’ll climb in the Design Leagues.How do I vote in a Design Challenge?Go to the Design Challenge menu and select Vote. When you reach City Level 9, you can vote for three sets every eight hours. After each voting round, you’ll get a random reward.
How does Monster Trouble work?Monster Trouble is a War feature in SimCity BuildIt where a giant monster attacks your city. It unlocks when you reach City Level 8 and have a population of 12,000, or when you reach City Level 16. The monster appears in your Capital City water and leaves once you chase it away or when the timer runs out.The monster comes in three different star levels, based on your War Rank. Higher-level monsters have more health but also offer better rewards when defeated.How do I defeat the Monster?
To defeat the monster, you need to launch War Disasters. Go to your Disaster menu and select Disasters. Some disasters, like Electric Deity and Doomsday Quack, aren’t available to chase the Monster Trouble away, so you may need to get creative with your attacks.What rewards can I get?You’ll earn an additional chest of rewards when you chase the Monster away. The chest and score milestone rewards vary and can include War Disaster cards, golden keys, Simoleons, and many other game items.
You can earn rewards in SimCity BuiltIt by launching Disasters. To launch a Disaster, you need Dr. Vu’s Special Items.To begin, tap the building to the right of your Global Trade HQ to meet the shadowy Dr Vu and get his guidance on starting construction on Vu Tower. You’ll need a population of 90,000 and 40,000 Simoleons to start construction. Once it’s built, tap Vu Tower to open the Disaster menu.How do I launch a Disaster?The Dr. Vu’s Special Items you need to launch the Disaster appear on the left. If you don’t have the required Special Items and need more time to collect them, return to your city by tapping the blue X. You can also buy the Items with SimCash.When you have all required Special Items, follow these steps to launch a Disaster:

Drag the round Disaster icon over the beam of light.

Slide Dr. Vu’s Special Items to the right.

Select the red button on Dr Vu’s terrible control unit to collect your Vu Points and launch a Disaster.
What rewards can I get?Using Disasters during Club Wars or Monster Trouble can earn you Simoleons, Golden Keys, and Vu Points. You can use these rewards to buy Specialization buildings, upgrade Vu Tower, and unlock new Disaster types.
Vu’s Pass is an Event that lets you earn bonus rewards by collecting War Points in Club Wars and Monster Trouble. You can unlock Vu’s Pass when you reach City Level 8 or and a population of 12,000 or more.Access Vu’s Pass from the right-hand menu on the War Map or City Monster screen. What rewards can I get?Each Vu Pass Season has three levels, each more difficult than the last. As you progress through the Pass, you’ll earn War Points which can be used to unlock rewards.Rewards can include:

What’s a Premium Vu Pass?A Premium Vu Pass gives you greater rewards. You can buy one at any time during a Season to get all the rewards from previous tiers.Your Premium Pass only applies to the current Season. You’ll need to buy a new Premium Pass each Season.
