EA app payment error codes

If you’re having problems with your payment but don’t see an error code, check out these articles for more help.

  • Description: we couldn’t process and save your payment because we couldn’t validate it.
  • Solution: remove your credit card from your EA Account, then try again.

  • Description: we couldn’t process or save your payment because we couldn’t validate your billing or shipping address.
  • Solution: make sure you typed in your billing address exactly as it appears on your payment method, then try again.
If you keep having issues, contact your bank or payment provider.

  • Description: we couldn’t process your payment because there was a technical error on our end.
  • Solution: log out of your EA Account, then log back in and try buying your content again. 
If that doesn’t work, try a different payment method.

  • Description: we couldn’t process your payment because of a technical error on our end.
  • Solution: if you got an error while trying to make a purchase on ea.com, try the EA app instead (or vice versa).
If that doesn’t work, try again later.

  • Description: something interrupted your purchase, but it was a temporary glitch. 
  • Solution: try buying your content again.

We’ve got your order already. You may have tried to buy something you already bought.You don’t need to do anything. We won’t process the second order, and you’ll only be charged once.

You may need to get in touch with your bank or card issuer to see if something is blocking the purchase on their end.

  • Description: there’s not enough balance in your EA Wallet to make this purchase. 
  • Solution: add another EA Gift Card to your EA Account and try again, or use a different payment method. 

  • Description: we couldn’t complete your order because there was an error processing your transaction.  
  • Solution: clear your browser’s cache, use a different payment method, or try again later with your original payment method.

  • Description: we couldn’t complete your order because of a technical issue with our payment collection service. 
  • Solution: try buying your content again. 
If you’re still having problems, check to see if we’ve posted any outage alerts. If we haven’t, try again later.

  • It might take up to 24 hours to process your payment. 
  • If you still don’t get an email confirmation after 24 hours, contact your bank or payment provider first. 
  • If you’ve waited 24 hours and still need help after contacting your payment provider, contact us.
