What’s new in Apex Legends: Overclocked?

Overclocked, the newest Season of Apex Legends, launches on May 5, 2026. Read the patch notes for the latest info.

New Legend: Axle 

Axle drops in this Season at full throttle. A Skirmisher Legend with a high-speed, movement heavy playstyle, she’s built to push past limits and take risks in the Ring.Axle in black armor mid-action, throwing a glowing disc weapon against a bright pink background beside the Apex Legends logo.Target enemies with Axle’s drone and chase them down with Nitro Gates, which let her launch into high-speed slides and slide jumps. Check out Axle’s full abilities in our guide or learn more about her past.

Conduit and Vantage updates

Conduit and Vantage have also been updated this Season. Conduit 
  • Radiant Transfer now has two charges. 
  • If Savior’s Speed is active while chasing towards a Skirmisher, Conduit gains bonus movement speed. 
Vantage 
  • Her ultimate has increased responsiveness on deploy, stow, and ready to fire time. 
  • Default scope magnification has increased from 3x to 4x.
  • An additional 2x canted sight to her ultimate sniper for greater flexibility. 
  • Vantage is immune to hard landings when exiting her tactical. 
  • Her tactical also has increased velocity and reduced deceleration. 
  • Weapons are equipped when double jump window is available but not activated. 
  • Tracking a team with Spotter’s Lens generates ultimate charge.

Respawn and healing updates

In Core modes, you can now revive allies at their deathbox. Interact at a killed ally’s latest deathbox to revive them. The more a teammate is downed, the longer it takes before they can be revived at their deathbox again. The cooldown resets gradually over the course of a match. Chain healing also changes how you can use med items this Season. You can now queue up another healing item before your last one is finished, meaning you can use items in a sequence. 

What are Seasons in Apex Legends?

Seasons are a set period of time when Apex Legends releases new content. Each Season has new content, including Battle Passes for each Split, game-balance changes, and cosmetic items. They can also introduce new features, map changes, weapons, and Legends. 

How long is an Apex Legends Season?

A Season is about three months long and coincides with Ranked play.
