Overview
Abilities are enhancements in College Football 27 Ultimate Team™ that boost specific player skills, like passing accuracy, coverage, and tackling. Use Skill Points to unlock them and Ability Points to activate them in your lineup.
What are abilities?
Abilities are enhancements that can help your players perform more effectively on the field. Each ability focuses on a different part of the game and can provide additional benefits in specific areas. Some abilities can help quarterbacks make more accurate throws, receivers make catches, defenders break up passes, or ball carriers break tackles.Players on offense, defense, and special teams can have different abilities, and higher tiers provide stronger versions of the same effect.Ability Tiers

To unlock abilities in CUT:Once you've unlocked an ability, you can activate or deactivate it as you build your lineup.
- use Skill Points (SP) to unlock new abilities, upgrade the tiers of existing abilities, and unlock additional ability slots
- use Ability Points (AP) to activate abilities in those slots
Abilities across your lineup use AP from your AP pool, so choose which abilities you want active across your team based on your playstyle.
- go to Ultimate Team™ from the main menu, and select the Team menu
- choose a player you want to add abilities to
- go to the Upgrades tab from the Single Item Viewer screen
- purchase the team chemistry/ability path to unlock abilities and chemistry slots
- select the Abilities tab and purchase the ability
- Return to your Lineup and enable the ability on your Lineup

Pass rush abilities help defenders disrupt plays before they have a chance to develop and make life more difficult for opposing quarterbacks.
Quick Jump, Duress, and Take Down help defenders create pressure, disrupt passing plays, and finish sacks before a quarterback can escape the pocket.
