How to buy EA games

- 1Go to EA.com and sign in to your EA Account.
- 2From the Games page, select the game you want to buy.
- 3Select Buy Now.
- Choose which platform you want to play on.
- If there are different editions of the game, select the edition you want.
- 4If you’re buying a game for the EA app, select Continue to Checkout.
- If you’re buying a game for any other platform, select the option to continue to that platform's store.
- For example, if you’re buying a game for Xbox, select Continue to Microsoft Store to complete your purchase.
- 5Choose a saved payment method or enter a new one.
- You can use your EA Wallet if your balance covers the full cost of the game.
- 6Select Pay Now.

- We’ll send your purchase confirmation and receipt to the email address linked to the EA Account you used to buy the game. If you're having trouble finding it, check your spam or junk folders.
- You can also check your Order history for more details, including the order date, number, description, status, and price.
- We’ll charge your credit card the day after you make your purchase.
- The total amount, including applicable sales taxes, will appear on your payment confirmation.
- You may notice a small transaction on your account's online statement within a few days of placing a pre-order or updating your saved payment method. These are temporary pre-authorization charges used to verify your payment information.
- Pre-authorization charges are automatically refunded within seven business days.
- Depending on your bank, you may also see a small additional charge related to your purchase for a few other reasons, such as:
- an international transaction fee
- a cross-border transaction fee
- a currency exchange fee.
- These fees don’t come from us, and we can’t help you with them. Contact your bank or credit card provider to understand these charges.
What payment methods are accepted when buying EA games?
Payment method availability can vary depending on what you’re buying, your location, and your currency.Some payment methods can’t be used to buy certain games, downloadable content (DLC), or virtual currency. If you make a purchase in a different currency than you usually do, your regular payment method may not be available.In some cases, you may have additional options, like mobile payments.Depending on where you are in the world, you can pay for your purchase with payment methods like:

EA can’t process refunds for purchases made through other online platforms or from physical retailers. - PC game platforms like Steam and Epic
- Mobile app stores like Apple and Google
- Retailers such as Target, Best Buy, or Walmart

- Yandex.
Prepaid and voucher cards, such as:

Redeem an EA Gift Card via the Payment and Wallet tab of your EA Account to activate your Wallet. You can use your Wallet to buy games, in-game content, and EA Play memberships. If you have funds in your EA Wallet, but they don’t cover your full order total, you can use another payment method to cover the rest of your purchase.Split payments may not work for all payment method types. Note: You can’t use split payments on pre-orders or EA Play memberships. If you want to pay for an EA Play membership or pre-order a game with your EA Wallet, make sure you have enough balance in your EA Wallet to cover the full cost. Otherwise, you’ll have to use a different payment method.
How to enter payment info correctly
To help avoid issues at checkout, follow these tips to make sure your payment info is entered and saved correctly.- Enter your card number as a continuous string of numbers with no dashes or spaces.
- Make sure to enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your billing statement. If it doesn’t match, your card provider may decline the transaction.
- If you use a card or PayPal, you can save your payment information to your account. If you use other payment methods, you’ll have to enter the information each time you buy something.
- To make a saved payment method your default for future purchases, select Set as Primary at checkout.
- To update your saved payment info, go to the Payment and Wallet tab of your EA Account and select Payment Methods.
- Select Add Payment to save a new payment method.
- Select Edit to change details for a saved payment method. This option is only available if the payment method can be updated.
- Select Delete to remove a saved payment method.
- For security reasons, EA Advisors can’t update your payment information for you.
How to make a change to an order

- If you haven’t already downloaded the purchased product, grab your order number and reach out to us using the Contact us button at the bottom of this article.
- To find your order number, check the receipt we sent to your email address after you made your purchase.
- You can also check the Order history in your EA Account to find your order number.
If you’ve already downloaded the purchased product
- If you’ve already downloaded and started playing the purchased product, you might be able to return it if it’s covered by the Great Game Guarantee.
If you want to cancel a pre-order
- To cancel your pre-order and request a refund anytime before the release date:
- Go to the Order History tab of your EA Account.
- Find your pre-order and select the plus sign (+) to expand it.
- Under the Status column, select Cancel pre-order.
- If you pre-ordered your game from another retailer, such as the PlayStation® or Xbox store, contact them to find out how to cancel your pre-order.
- Heads-up: if you cancel your pre-order and buy the game after it launches instead, you’ll lose any pre-order bonus content that comes with it.
