What is EA Play?

EA Play is a gaming membership that lets you play some of EA’s best games and gives you exclusive perks and benefits.

Not on Xbox? Learn about EA Play on PC and EA Play on PlayStation®.

What benefits do EA Play on Xbox members get?

If you join EA Play on Xbox, here are some benefits you’ll enjoy.

  • Access to select new games for up to 10 hours before they launch.
  • Unlimited access to The Play List, a collection of some fan-favorite EA games.
  • 10% discount on EA digital purchases, such as full games, expansion packs, and in-game currency. Check out the EA Play Terms to learn more about discount conditions, limitations, and exclusions.

Heads-up: EA Play Pro isn’t available on Xbox. If you have an EA Play Pro membership on PC, it can’t be transferred to Xbox.

How to join EA Play on Xbox

If you join EA Play on Xbox and want to play online or play multiplayer games, you’ll also need an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Learn more about Xbox subscription options.

Some Xbox Game Pass memberships include EA Play. Find out more about how EA Play works with an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
  1. Go to the EA Play website and select Join Now.
  2. Select Xbox. You’ll be directed to the Xbox website.
  3. Choose how you want to get EA Play on Xbox.
    • Game Pass Ultimate
    • PC Game Pass
    • EA Play
  4. Select Join Now and follow the instructions to get your membership.

Once you’ve signed up, you can view all the games included with your membership by going to My Games & Apps > Full Library > EA Play on your Xbox.

Is an EA Account needed for EA Play on Xbox?

You’ll need an EA Account to use EA Play on Xbox. If you don’t have one, we’ll ask you to create an EA Account when you join EA Play.

To use EA Play on Xbox, make sure:

To access EA Play content and view all games included with your membership, go to My Games & Apps > Full Library > EA Play on your Xbox.

Things to know about EA Play on Xbox

About EA Play membership, availability, and features
  • You can cancel your EA Play membership at any time.
  • Your EA Play membership is specific to the platform you join through and applies only to that platform. For example, if you join EA Play on Xbox, you won’t be able to use your membership benefits on PlayStation® and vice versa.
  • Membership benefits are only available to players who live in the regions where EA Play is available.
  • If you joined EA Play in a region where it’s available and then travel to a place where it’s not, you’ll only have access to games or early trials you already downloaded and installed.
  • You need an internet connection for early trials. You can play some games from The Play List offline, but you’ll occasionally need to re-enter your login details to verify that you’re still a member.
  • Game progress made in early game trials will carry over if you decide to buy the game when it’s released worldwide.
  • Conditions, limitations, and exclusions may apply. Availability of member benefits and Play List titles may vary by platform and territory and may change from time to time. See the EA Play terms and Xbox’s membership terms for more details.
