Specializations define an Operator’s combat role and abilities, while Weapon Classes affect how their weapon performs in combat. What are Specializations in STAR WARS Zero Company™?
Specializations determine an Operator’s combat role, strengths, and unique abilities.All Operators have a Specialization, and you can choose or change Specializations for Hawks and any Custom Operators you recruit. Authored Operators have assigned Talents that you can’t change, and some Authored Operators have Specializations that you can’t change.Every Specialization includes a unique set of abilities that helps define how an Operator performs in battle.How do abilities work in STAR WARS Zero Company™?
Each Specialization includes three types of abilities.- Ultimate Ability
- This is a Specialization’s most powerful ability.
- They can have a major impact on the battle and are best used at the right moment.
- Standard Ability
- This is an active ability you can use during combat to attack enemies, support allies, or gain a tactical advantage.
- Passive Ability
- These are always-active abilities.
- They automatically provide bonuses or effects battle without needing to be activated.
Most abilities cost Action Points (AP) to use. Sometimes, you’ll need to use special abilities to defeat more powerful enemies. These special abilities cost Advantage instead of AP. Which Specialization should I choose?
Unsure which Specialization to choose for Hawks or a Custom Operator? Every Specialization fills a different combat role, so think about the role you want that Operator to play in your squad before making your choice.If you can’t see your Custom Operators in the database, try refreshing a few times. - fight aggressively at medium to close range
- push enemies out of defensive positions
- Ability type: Ultimate
- Unleashes a barrage of blaster fire that damages and disorients enemies in a large cone.
- When enemies are Disoriented, they have a lower chance of hitting their targets.
- Ability type: Standard
- Charges into an enemy, dealing Melee Damage and pushing them backward.
- Enemies who fall or are pushed into objects take additional impact damage.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the distance allowed for your first movement.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases your chance of dealing Critical Damage to exposed enemies that aren’t protected by cover.

- Allows you to fire twice in a single turn, targeting any combination of enemies
- Ability type: Standard
- Allows you to quickly fire a fast sidearm pistol shot
- If you defeat an enemy with this ability, it restores 1 AP
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases your chance of dealing additional Critical Damage to a target in a ranged attack.
- Ranged attacks include all attacks made at range, and also applies to blaster, sidearm, and some force attacks.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the damage of every primary blaster attack you make in a single turn

- Ability type: Ultimate
- Taunts all enemies in the target area, forcing them to attack you.
- It also increases your defense and reduces the Damage you take from incoming attacks until the end of the turn.
- Ability type: Standard
- Gives you two stacks of Retaliation, allowing you to counter the next two attacks against you.
- Each counterattack uses one stack.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases your maximum Health, allowing you to take more Damage before you’re defeated.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases your Defense and reduces the Damage you take from incoming attacks.
- Your Defense is the protection provided by your armor, toughness, or skill.
- Ability type: Passive
- Your primary blaster attacks taunts enemies on a hit, forcing them to target you with their next attack.

- Ability type: Ultimate
- Gives you and nearby allies Morale.
- Morale restores Health at the start of each turn until all stacks are used.
- Ability type: Standard
- Grants an ally Stimulant for two turns.
- This increases their Health, Melee Damage, and Ranged Damage.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the amount of Health restored when you use a Medpac.
- Medpacs are utility items that can heal you or a single ally.
- Medpacs can’t be used on Droids.
- Ability type: Passive
- Permanently equips you with a Medpac without using a utility slot.
- Allies you rescue with Rally return to the fight fully healed and are able to take actions again.

- Marks an enemy, allowing you to Assist the next ally that attacks them.
- Most Operators join the attack by firing alongside their teammate.
- Ability type: Standard
- Makes an enemy Vulnerable, causing the next damaging attack against them to be a guaranteed Critical Hit.
- Critical hits deal additional Damage by striking a weak point.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the Damage you deal when assisting an ally’s attack.
- Ability type: Passive
- Your attacks gain Defense Penetration. This helps bypass protection provided by armor, toughness, and skill, increasing the damage you deal.

- Allows you to launch a surprise attack on an enemy.
- The more Advantage you use, the more Damage the attack deals.
- Advantage is earned whenever your squad damages an enemy and is used to power Special Actions.

- Allows you to survey the target area to gain Advantage for each enemy detected.
- Ability type: Passive
- Gives you a chance to gain Advantage after defeating an enemy.
- Ability type: Passive
- Enemies you damage with your blaster become Spotted.
- Spotted enemies ignore the usual Chance to Hit penalties caused by range and smoke, making them easier for your team to hit.

- Allows you to fire a carefully aimed blaster shot that always hits its target.
- Ability type: Standard
- Lets you set up a position for accurate shooting and grants you Lethal stacks, increasing your Chance to Hit and the likelihood of Critical Damage.
- Lethal is removed if you move or are knocked out of position.
- Ability type: Passive
- Improves your Chance to Hit and the Damage caused by your Overwatch attacks.
- Overwatch lets you set a target area and automatically fire at enemies that move through it, giving you a chance to stop their movement.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the Chance to Hit of all your blaster attacks, making them more likely to hit their target.

- Allows you to fire a powerful rocket that explodes on impact, damaging all enemies caught in the blast.
- Ability type: Standard
- Allows you to rush an enemy and deliver a powerful melee attack that Dazes them.
- Dazed enemies can’t attack, but they can still move and use non-offensive abilities until the effect ends.
- After a unit is dazed, they gain Stun Resistance, and can’t be dazed again for the rest of the battle.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the Melee Damage of your attacks and lets you throw grenades farther.
- Grenades explode at the target location, damaging all units within the blast radius.
- Ability type: Passive
- Increases the Damage of your primary blaster and grenades.
- Blaster attacks use your primary weapon, while grenade attacks include all thrown explosive devices.
How does Weapon Class work in STAR WARS Zero Company™ ?

- It's a Fast Action weapon, which means each shot costs 1 x AP.
- A flexible choice for attacking while still saving some AP for movement or abilities.
- Choose the Blaster Pistol if you want:

- This Specialization focuses on healing allies, preventing injuries, and helping your squad stay in the fight.
