Recover a SW:GOH account Move a SW:GOH account More help

To save your progress, you need to link your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account to a Google Play or Game Center account.

To move your saves and progress to a device with a different operating system, you need an EA Account.

Updating apps or the operating system on your device can sometimes sign you out of your Game Center or Google Play account. This can make it seem like your account is missing.

If your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account is linked to your Google Play or Game Center account, you can recover your game account, progress, and units by signing back in.

How to recover a linked account

Google Play accounts (Android)

  1. Launch the game and select the gear icon in the top left of the cantina screen to open the Settings menu.
  2. Select Sign into Google Play.
  3. Choose Confirm, and your game will restart.
  4. Select Sign in to Google Play. When you log in, your linked game will load.

Game Center accounts (iOS)

  1. On your device, go to Settings and select Game Center.
    • If there’s no Apple ID listed, you’re not logged in to your game.
    • If you’re logged in with a different Apple ID than the one that’s linked to your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account, select the Apple ID and choose Sign Out.
  2. Select Sign In and enter the Apple ID and password linked to your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account.
  3. Close and restart the game to load your linked account.

How to recover a Guest account

If you didn’t link Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes to Game Center or Google Play on your device, your account is a Guest account.

You can’t move saves or progress from a Guest account to a new device. You can only restore saves on the device where you created your Guest account.

To restore a Guest account, follow these steps.

Android:

  1. Launch the game and select the gear icon in the top left of the cantina screen to open the Settings menu.
  2. Choose Sign out of Google Play.
  3. When the game restarts, choose Play as Guest to access the Guest account.

iOS:

  1. On your device, go to Settings and select Game Center.
  2. Sign out of any Apple ID in Game Center.
    • Don’t log in to Game Center using another Apple ID.
  3. Close and restart the game to access the Guest account.

Move to a device with the same operating system

Follow these steps to move your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account to another device with the same operating system (like an iPhone to a new iPhone).

  1. Link your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account to Game Center on iOS or Google Play Store on Android.
  2. Sign in with the linked account on your new device.

You can only link your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account to one Game Center or Google Play account.

Move to a device with a different operating system

If you want to move your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account to a device with a different operating system ( like iOS to Android), you’ll need access to both devices and an active EA Account.

On your old device

First, link your Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes account to your EA Account on your old device.

  1. Launch the game and select the gear icon in the top left of the cantina screen to open the Settings menu.
  2. Choose Connect, then select EA Connect.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to link Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes to your EA Account.

On your new device

Once you’ve linked Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes to your EA Account, follow these steps to move your saves and progress to your new device.

  1. If you haven’t already, download and install Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes on your new device.
  2. Launch Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and select Have an Account? from the top left of the screen.
  3. Choose Connect, then select Import Account.
  4. Sign in using the EA Account details you used on your old device. We’ll send a verification code to the email address linked to your EA Account.
  5. Copy the verification code from the email and enter it in-game, then select Submit.
  6. On the Sign in with this account? screen, select Confirm.

Getting an error 9.78 after step 5?

If you get an error 9.78 after entering the verification code we sent to your email, try this workaround.

  1. When the error appears, go back to the cantina screen and continue the tutorial.
  2. Open the Settings menu and choose Connect. Then, select Import Account.
  3. Sign in using the EA Account details you used on your old device. We’ll send another verification code to the email address of your EA Account.

  5. On the Sign in with this account? screen, select Confirm.
