Madden NFL 16 requires a secure account for successful multiplayer. Sign in to your account on Origin.com. Go to My Account, then Privacy Settings, then Security to update your security question and turn on login verification.

When you complete an Ultimate Legend set, you unlock a solo challenge. You must complete the solo challenge to get the Ultimate Legend player.

If you encounter a loading screen after hitting Square or in the Auction House menu in MUT, you can cancel the screen by pressing Circle.
If the confirm button is not functioning on the stadium upgrade menu, you may have already upgraded the stadium. Check whether the "upgrade" prompt on-screen has a lock icon next to it or not. If it's locked, you have already upgraded and the confirm button will not do anything.
When you choose the "play vs friend" option within MUT, you will see a list of all of your friends that play, but it does not indicate whether they are online or not. We are aware of this issue and working on a fix.
Reassigning controller ports while in the middle of play or practice can cause issues where the game no longer recognizes the controller. We recommend waiting until you are out of any play modes before changing your controller settings. If you encounter a situation where the game will not recognize controller inputs after switching controller ports, connect another controller to resolve the issue.
We are aware that some players were unable to play online because they couldn't download the roster update or tuning data.
We have fixed this issue and you should be able to download the updates without any problems. If you still get an error, try restarting your console.

No, your MUT will not transfer from a generation 3 console to a generation 4 console.
To manage alerts and notifications, access Madden Messenger by pressing R3. Tab over to Settings and turn off notifications and social feeds to better suit your experience.

The game now tracks the changes you make to your settings from the Game Option Settings menu.
To get you in the game faster, we put coin toss selection settings at the beginning of the game.
To alter your preferences, you can either do so from Main Menu > Customize > Settings > Settings > Game Options > Coin Toss 1st Choice/2nd Choice, or from the advanced settings menu within Team Select.
You may see certain locked areas of the game if the game is still installing or downloading. The areas will unlock when installation is complete.
Whenever the game terminates while in game (application quit or console power down), Madden NFL 16 makes an attempt to create an in-game save that you can resume on your next boot. Quitting the game and returning to the main menu does not create this save event.

Madden 16 has a new matchmaking system that keeps you competing against people who play similar to you. The initial search finds players with similar play styles. If a comparable player is not found, the search extends to additional players. This can increase the expected matchmaking time.
The session creator must first add an opponent to a game session. Once the opponent accepts the initial invite, the session creator can then send the game session invite. The opponent should receive the invitation via the Xbox One dashboard.
Additionally, players can join game sessions by pressing R3 on the main menu to access the Madden Messenger. Selecting the invite through Madden Messenger launches the player into the game session.
You must use your Active profile and connect to the same network as your console. If you do not connect with the Active profile and connect to the same network, certain features do not function correctly.
From the Online Head to Head hub, press X on Xbox One or Square on PlayStation 4 to find an Unranked Quick Match session.
You must achieve a ranking of at least 100,000 to appear on the leaderboards. If you achieve a ranking at this level (only the top 100,000 players do), this leaderboard shows where you rank with 50 players ranked above and below you.
If you play against friends, the friends leaderboard displays how you rank against friends based on the number of Rankings Points each of you earns.
EA Accounts have a two factor authorization (TFA) system, also known as Login Verification. Login Verification is meant for account security across EA platforms. Upon initial login with the Login Verification feature, you receive an email to the address you have on file. Input the code to update your EA Account. You can turn Login Verification off by logging into your EA Account at ea.com, clicking on your username, then My Account, and then the Security tab.

The CPU (computer player) team scales up in both overall rating (OVR) and artificial intelligence (AI) difficulty.
Your favorite team, saved to your profile when you start a draft, assigns your uniform and team name.
Madden NFL 16 assigns your playbooks and team styles based on the coach you select in the Coach Round.
Quarter length is preset by the mode and cannot change.
You can redeem all rewards in MUT. Rewards appear when you end an event either by hitting max wins or losses in the event.
There is a cooldown from the time you start an event. If you manage to draft, lose, and get back to the hub in less than 15 minutes, you must allow the cooldown to reset before starting another event.
