Find out how to report players in STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ for cheating, abuse, harassment, and naming violations.

When you install or play an EA game, including Star Wars: The Old Republic, you agree to abide by our Rules of Conduct.

These rules, and our Positive Play charter, make it clear that we want our games to be fun and fair for everyone. If you see someone in-game or on the forums who is breaking our rules, we want to know about it.

  2. Right-click on their portrait.
  3. Click Additional Commands.

Ignoring a player

Sometimes another player’s behavior in-game doesn’t necessarily rise to a level where you would need to report them, but you may be happier not to see them in chat or be grouped with them.

To ignore a Character (and all Characters in that player’s Legacy):

  1. When you’re in-game use the /who slash command in chat or open the Social window (press O by default) to find the player.
  2. Right-click on their name in the list.
  3. Choose Ignore player’s Legacy.

To stop ignoring a player:

  1. Open the Social window (press O by default).
  2. Click on the Ignored Legacies tab.
  3. Right-click on their name in the list.
  4. Click Stop ignoring.

Profanity filtering

Profanity filtering is switched on by default in Star Wars: The Old Republic. If you want to toggle it on and off, you can do that through the Preferences menu:

  1. Press Esc.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click on Chat.
  4. Check the Filter Profanity box to turn profanity filtering on, or uncheck it to turn it off.
  5. Click Apply to save your changes.
